Scott Promoted to Recruitment Coordinator
November 09, 2020
Elkins, WV – Davis Health System is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Scott to Recruitment Coordinator.
Scott will be responsible for locating and bringing in new physicians, specialists, nurses and other professional positions within the health system as DHS continues to grow, ensuring our communities have the specialized care they need.
Scott joined DHS in 2018 as Marketing Project Coordinator, bringing in his experience of marketing and also knowledge of our region from his past 11 years working in the tourism industry.
Scott received his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2005 and received certification from Indiana University/Perdue as a CTIS (Certified Travel Industry Specialist) in 2017. Currently, Scott is working toward his Certified Recruiter certification with a completion date of November 24th.
“Physician recruitment involves working closely with medical and administrative leadership to determine future medical staff needs and strategizing how to best attract the most qualified candidates for vacancies and health system growth. As the DHS Recruitment Coordinator, Mr. Scott is actively working to reduce the time and cost to hire, and manage the overall recruitment process on a daily basis,” said DHS Chief Medical Officer Dr. Catherine “Mindy” Chua, DO, FNMN, CPE.
“I’ve always felt it’s an honor to work for the Davis Health family and am excited for this new opportunity of recruitment. Back in 2010, DHS took excellent care of me during two personal battles I had with cancer and it was during that time I realized how very special Davis Health and its doctors and staff truly are and how fortunate we are to have DHS in our community. Now, here I am, 10 years later…cancer free and fortunate to call DHS my workplace home & family.”
Recruitment to more rural areas such as ours is not always an easy or quick task, but work has already begun with targeted ad placements, career fairs, diligent searching and with the contact of medical residency programs within our home state, as well as residency programs lining the east coast.
Growth is always an exciting thing and filling the role of Recruitment Coordinator helps support the growth of Davis Health System and our medical team and services we provide.
If job seekers wish to contact Scott, or if community members have referrals they would like to share, Scott can be reached via email at email@example.com or directly at 304.637.3876.
