Kimberly Groves, APRN, FNP-BC Joins WCMH Rural Health Clinic

WEBSTER SPRINGS, WEST VIRGINIA – Webster County native Kimberly Groves, APRN, FNP-BC has joined the medical staff at Webster County Memorial Hospital (WCMH). She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and is seeing patients in WCMH’s rural health clinic. In the clinic she provides a full-range of care services including primary care, DOT physicals, same-day appointments, and population health-based care among others.
“I loved growing up in Webster County and feel it’s a privilege to work so close to family and friends,” Kim said. “It’s nice to see people I know and who have watched me grow up. It’s rewarding to give back to this community that I love.”
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from West Virginia University, Charleston. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mountain State University. Prior to becoming a family nurse practitioner, Kim spent six years as a registered nurse in direct patient care settings including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Emergency Department. She has worked at other community hospitals and health centers including Camden Family Health, Braxton County Memorial Hospital, Summersville Regional Medical Center and Charleston Area Medical Center.
Kim is an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and holds additional certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
WCMH CEO Jim Parker, FACHE, said he is delighted that Kim has joined the Webster team. “She is such an asset to our medical staff and the community. She brings expertise, energy and local passion,” Parker said.
Kim and husband Drew have two daughters, Claire and Carlie.
“I enjoy being part of the WCMH family because that is what we are, family. This hospital makes it feel like home,” Kim said. “There are great people who work here and who want to make a difference in the lives of our small community.”
The WCMH rural health clinic is located within the hospital at 324 Miller Mountain Road in Webster Springs. Kim Groves joins the following providers in the clinic: Robert Mace, MD; Joshua Deaton, PA-C; Denise Hamrick, FNP-BC; Debra Cutlip, PA-C; and Frankie Puckett, MD.
