Free estate planning advice during Wills Week

October 12, 2018

Elkins, WV – Members of the public will be able to get free advice on estate planning for retirement at a number of “Aging Wisely Lunch & Learn” events sponsored by the Davis Health System Foundation.

“In conjunction with National Wills Week, the Foundation is providing the opportunity to learn how proper estate planning can help reduce or even eliminate estate taxes.  Estate planning can offset unintended negative consequences for surviving spouses and family members,” said Foundation Director Mike Bell.

The events are scheduled for the following locations and times: Elkins-Randolph County Public Library, October Tuesday, October 16 at 11:30 AM; Webster Springs Municipal Building, Wednesday, October 17, 11:30 AM; and, Philippi Public Library, Friday, October 19 at 11:30 AM.

In addition to estate planning, the Lunch & Learn’s will include comments from Dr. Catherine “Mindy” Chua on combatting common health issues that affect us as we age, and advice from local leaders about how seniors can stay active and engaged in their community.

“We encourage seniors and their families to join us for free lunch and lots of valuable information,” said Bell.

Reservations for one of the Lunch & Learn sessions can be made by calling the Foundation at 304.630.3043.
