Laboratory Services
The clinical laboratories at Davis Medical Center and Broaddus Hospital provide access to comprehensive laboratory testing services for patients and their healthcare providers. The labs are staffed by professionals trained in medical laboratory sciences and by board certified pathologists. The laboratories provide a wide range of diagnostic pathology services including access to the most up-to-date genetic and molecular testing for diagnosis, treatment, and disease prognosis. Special emphasis is placed on providing inpatient and outpatient services.
A variety of tests are performed on blood, urine, body fluids, and tissue in order to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Special emphasis is placed on providing quality diagnostics in the following specialties:
- Blood Bank
- Chemistry
- Hematology/Coagulation
- Microbiology
- Serology
- Special Chemistry
- Surgical Pathology/Cytology
- Urinalysis
Our Clinical and Anatomic Pathology Laboratories are accredited by the Joint Commission. Commitment to internal and external quality assurance is ongoing and guarantees high quality, accurate test results.
Direct Lab Access
Patients can also walk-in without a physician's order and use our Direct Lab Access service which performs many common every day tests including drug screens for a fee.
DMC Laboratory results ordered by your physician or inpatient (Hospitalist) services can be placed upon your request into your AccessMyChart Account.
Hours of operation for outpatient lab services:
Monday-Friday: 7am until 5pm
Saturday: 7am until Noon
Sunday: Closed
