Wound Care
The
wound care center at Davis Memorial provides comprehensive wound evaluation
and treatment by certified wound care specialists. People who experience
the following conditions can be helped by wound care:
- burns,
- pressure ulcers,
- arterial insufficiency,
- enous insufficiency,
- neuropathic ulcers,
- traumatic and post operative wounds.
A variety of modalities are available including whirlpool, pulsatile lavage, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, Unna boots, compression wrapping, pneumatic compression, and debridement. Other services available are on-site wound culturing, diabetic foot inspections, patient/caregiver education, measuring/fitting for compression garments and exercise program development.
